The Dates for the New Member Drives are set for the following dates/times:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Member Drive February 2010: We are looking for up to 2 new members, and are also holding a member drive on February 27th, 2010, tentatively scheduled at the Independence Library Branch, and the new main Burlington Branch, at 1:00 and 3:00pm. You can download a basic application here. If you are interested in being considered, please fill it out as completely as possible, and e-mail it to Ruth at: ruthann0216@msn.com Being present at the membership drives isn't required, but of course preferred if you can make it. We usually give a small presentation and then do a quck meet and greet - don't be shy - even if someone isn't selected we do like meeting everyone and keep the contact information you want to keep with us, and are working on an e-mail list among other things. You will also meet others from all walks of life with a similar interest you can network and keep in touch with. The drive meeting is free to everyone. It's not a competition and people hopefully learn more about what this can be like and the things we find. General Requirements and Preferences For A Team Role: 1. Mature, professional in approach both with team members and clients, and committed with preferably some history of interest or experience that is applicable 2. Possessing technical skills is HIGHLY desireable (competency in audio/video editing software, and/or web design, graphic design, basic understanding of file types and ability to share, send, upload, and edit your evidence files). We would like to add at least one team member who has some proven experience or ability to assist with digital projects, can edit EVP/audio and video files, and assist as needed or wanted with web and multimedia projects - college students welcome! 3. You must be over 18 years of age - no exceptions 4. We cannot accept anyone with a recent criminal history of any kind, or ANY felony, history of theft, or sexually oriented convictions at any point. 5. If you don't have technical skills, we are looking for people who can bring something to the table and add real value to the team. Just being interested or a fan of "Ghost Hunters" really isn't enough. Do you own your own equipment? If not what are your plans to invest and purchase personal recorders and the things we use? (not everything is provided, we do share, and there are extras, but the more the merrier). Do you do something in your day job that may add value to the team? You could be an Electrician, Plumber, Journalist, Web Designer, Teacher, Science student or professional etc..., A number of professions lend themselves well to doing this. Do you have experience with blessings or proven or reputable abilities to do spirit removal in homes or buildings? (another example of what someone can offer - and we mean people with a "proven" ability to do this - just saying you can isn't enough!) This is not always easy - what seems fun and exciting at first can become repetitive, requires a lot of focus and patience, time from your personal/social life (but don't be scared-off by that either) and some sacrifice. Plan on giving up a Sat night a month, and 1-2 weeknights per month (of course this varies but is a good general expectation) for reviewing, meetings, special events etc.., If you know you can't do this, please don't apply!
Happy New Year! PINK had a confidential case on 12/14/09, and have two more private cases this month on 1/9/10, and 1/23/10. Since these are private/confidential residential cases, there's just not much we can publish of interest, although I should have a case page and results (if any) up from the late January case, and will notify everyone here. It's COLD in Cincinnati and has been, extremely so, and we had our first significant snow storm this week (after New Year's). It's not been fun and it feels like we're all huddling inside and waiting for it to warm-up. Well, they are a bit, as one of our cases from last year has been chosen to be featured on the Biography Channel for their upcoming series "My Ghost Story." I (Brad) will also likely be on the episode doing a short interview, responding/explaining a piece of evidence they liked. I'll update the site regarding that, when it's appropriate., and also the air time of course. Check back soon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some updates/announcements: Tonight (9/26) we have a private case in Cincinnati, if the situation warrants it, we'll post results and more information. Lately, we've had so many of these, that not all of them are making it to the web site, but we'll post what we can. On October 10th (Saturday) we'll be at Sin City Antiques doing presentations and answering question from Noon until 4pm. On October 16, 23, and 30 we will be hosting the Petersburg, KY Ghost Walks from 6-8pm each night. They are FREE. We expect a big turnout and welcome anyone who wants to come take a tour with us. We're also doing a library presentation on October 29th, details to follow. ------------------------------------------- We conducted a private investigation at a home in Florence, KY last Saturday, 8/29, where the family was having problems, in particular with their young children, who were seeing apparitions in their bedrooms, and a 2 year old that was showing signs of fear, while the parents were experiencing a myriad of things ranging from moving and suddenly-appearing objects, to hearing voices. We did manage to catch some EVP's, and early in the night, the 4 of us heard two very distinct and loud knocks or raps on what sounded like a wall or door near us in the home. I also picked up some unusual EMF readings at times, but nothing I could conclusively say was paranormal (Brad that is). I'll be sure to get the case page up soon, as the reveal took place last night (9/9). We have another case this Saturday at a private home in Wyoming, OH. We will be co-hosting the Petersburg, KY Ghost Walks in October, and have a couple of other case requests we're working on as well. It's been very busy for 2 months + straight now, and between having a real job during the day, and trying to have a personal/social life, it can be challenging to keep up here, but will do my best to stay on track! I promise to have the Baker-Scudder Mansion and Home investigation up soon, unfortunately there isn't much to look forward to, as it was rather uneventful, but was a very interesting place to investigate, and the presentation was well worthwhile.
August 2009 News: We will hit 50 formal investigations later this month as a team (only 2 were public - Waverly Hills and Loveland Castle, and 2 were follow-ups - Alexandria Home and Burlington Home, the rest were new, private cases). This is in roughly just over 4 years time. The Sin City Antiques case is now online, the Baker Hunt/Scudder Mansion and home will be added shortly. Click the Cases link above to go check it out. We are doing a follow-up investigation later this month at the Burlington Home, a privates residence that continues to experience activity. This may be a good month to get the web site up to speed finally, check back often.
Entry to the Hunt-Baker Mansion
July 25, 2009: Hoping we have some luck at the Scudder House and mansion in Covington.
July 20th 2009:
We're back from Sin City....next up is the historic Scudder House & Mansion in Covington, KY with host Victor Paruta...
July 2009 News: It'll be a busy month for PINK as we have an investigation almost every weekend, including two public locations I will disclose as soon as I know more, and find out if it's ok to do so. We wrapped up two cases the last two weeks at private homes, one in Fairfield, OH, and one near Cynthiana, KY. We're wrapping up our review and evidence, and I should have the Fairfield case up here shortly, hopefully over the weekend. The public cases are local here in Newport and Covington, KY., and should be very interesting, involving historic buildings/locations in prominent areas of the two river cities. Check back soon as I should have time over the holiday weekend to update the web site with case information and evidence. Thanks for visiting!
June 2009 News: 6/18/09: We held an investigation this past Saturday at a private home in a Cincinnati suburb (after a the Burlington follow-up was postphoned) and will be reviewing the footage, and talking with the client, before posting amy information or possible evidence on the site. We've aldo got another case this coming Saturday, the 27th, in Northern Kentucky. It's a now-abandoned rural estate built in the 1800's, so at least we'll have the place to ourselves and can control the environment to the extent we find is ideal for any investigation. There are also a few cases lined-up for July, and I'll be sure to get everything here updated as we go along. As always, feel free to go to the "Contacts" or "Team" page to e-mail any of us, or Mike Palmer if you wish to request an investigation. The "Cynthiana, KY" case is now up on the "Cases" page. For additional articles, links, evidence and information about the paranormal, go to Brad's site at paranormalworlds.com.
06/01/09: We have several cases lined-up for the month of June, including two follow-up investigations, one at the Burlington home, and another at the "Confidential" location, both original investigations are listed on the "Cases" page. We are also working on another private case and are also investigating a shop in the historic downtown location of Monmouth Street in Newport, Kentucky. We will be posting updates to these cases soon, stay tuned. The Cynthiana, KY investigation appears on the "Cases" page now, I have some EVP's, but still need to edit and add them. I will be doing that asap. I did not participate in the recent Burlington Home Investigation, and have limited information on that case, but do have some interesting EVP's from the team. I still want to add those, and not create confusion with the original Burlington Home case we did some time ago, and that we are re-visiting this month. We tend to error on the side of caution when it comes to privacy, but still want to be able to show you the type of home, location, results, back story and what we found, if anything, without compromising client identities in any way!
May 2009 News:
5/8/09: We're going to investigate a farmhouse near Lexington, KY Saturday night. It'll be a long night and a long drive (1+ hours each way from Northern Kentucky). The web site will be updated with information and any appropriate evidence files in the near future.
April 2009 News:
04/28/09: There's a new case on 5/09 at a private residence, in a rural area of Northern Kentucky. The Cases page will be updated with that information
04/17/09: I continue to update the site and am working through some things, as we would like to update the case history pages in particular.
04/10/09: We're back from Waverly Hills Sanatorium safe and sound, and are looking forward to a new private case on April 25th at a private residence back in Northern Kentucky. Of course any information and details we are able to share on that will be posted in the near future. We also have two requests to do follow-ups that we're looking into, in the Northern Kentucky area as well.
04/05/09: We have secured a reservation for a private investigation at Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY in early April, we'll be sure to update the web site with findings and a summary as soon as possible, after we've concluded.
